Fundamentals of Dosage Form Development9 Hours- Pre-formulation studies: concept, need, and parameters — solubility, pKa, physical nature (amorphous/crystalline), polymorphism, hygroscopicity, particle size, flow properties, compatibility
- Tablets: formulation design; types (uncoated, film-coated, enteric-coated, controlled-release, sublingual, buccal, dispersible, effervescent); excipients (diluents, binders, disintegrants, lubricants, glidants)
- Manufacturing methods: direct compression, wet granulation, dry granulation; IPQC and finished-product tests (weight variation, hardness, friability, disintegration, dissolution)

Coated Tablets and Capsules9 Hours- Film coating: polymers (HPMC, Eudragit), plasticizers, solvents, equipment (Accela-Cota, fluidized bed); pan coating; enteric coating — polymers and test criteria
- Hard gelatin capsules: formulation design; filling methods (manual, semi-automatic, automatic); IPQC and finished-product tests; packaging
- Soft gelatin capsules: shell composition and plasticizers; fill materials; manufacturing methods (rotary die process); defects; quality control and stability
